Hello,
Can you believe it's already April? Don't worry, there's still more curling to come!
Volunteer for corporate event Friday
We have one last corporate event tomorrow, Friday, April 17, from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. There are 40 participants planning to attend and we have only four volunteers signed up. Please help if you are able!
Don't forget: Last night of league will be May 12
Just a reminder that the last night of league will be May 12. The schedule on the website does not show it because we don't yet know who will be playing who for the honor of being league champions. Stay tuned and good curling!
Registration is open for CedarSpiel 2026
The 2026 CedarSpiel will be Aug. 7-9. We hope to see you there. There is a lot of fun in the works and more information will be on its way. This is a wonderful chance if you haven't yet been to a bonspiel!
Cost is $440 per team. Registration deadline is July 24, 2025.
If you want to play but don't have a team, no worries! Sign up here. This link is for club members who do not have their own team. We will put teams together for club members from this list.
We also will be looking for volunteers throughout the weekend. Sign up on the various tabs of this form to help with ice prep, merchandise and raffle sales, and dinner prep/serving.
If you have any questions or concerns, please email Kari Kozak (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.).
Share curling at CR Farmers Market
We are excited to announce that Cedar Rapids Curling will once again have a booth at the Cedar Rapids Farmers Market on Aug. 15.
We will have a tent with a table full of curling items for people to check out, balloons for the kids (and adults), and hopefully our street curling set so people can "throw a stone."
This will be a great time to hang out together and share our sport with our community outside the ice!
Cedar Rapids Curling on the road
Mark, Kirby, Molly, and Michael were runners-up in the D event at Aksarben Curling's Irish Spiel.
Cale, Emily, Jay, and Lynn won the D event at the 40th annual Chicago Mixed Bonspiel.
